Yufeng Pei is an assistant researcher at the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Pei is a member of Jie Song’s team in the institute’s Center for Medical Synthetic Biology, which studies circular single-stranded DNA, its biological effects, and potential applications in gene therapy.

Pei’s published work includes single-molecule approaches to characterizing higher-order DNA structures. Pei is a corresponding author of the review Single-Molecule Methods for Characterizing Different DNA Higher-Order Structures, published in Engineering in 2023.
