Fenghui Guan is an associate researcher at the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Guan received a Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 2018 and joined the School of Life Sciences at Tianjin University as a lecturer in 2019. Guan joined the institute in 2022.
Guan’s research focuses on structural biology and computational protein design. The work uses structural data to understand protein structure–function relationships and applies this knowledge to the design and engineering of functional proteins.
Guan has published as a first or corresponding author in journals including eLife, National Science Review, Cell Research, and Cell Discovery, and has received research support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Tianjin research funding programs, and the national key research program in synthetic biology.
