Tianqing Zheng is a researcher at the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his bachelor’s degree from Xiamen University in 2008 and his Ph.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2014. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and The Scripps Research Institute. He joined the institute in August 2020.
Working at the intersection of biochemistry, immunology, and cell biology, he develops antibody therapeutics and platforms for identifying antibodies with specific biological functions. His research addresses challenges in antibody discovery against multipass membrane proteins and in high-throughput functional screening, with applications in inflammation and cancer.
His research has been published in journals including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Angewandte Chemie International Edition. He has received support from a Zhejiang provincial high-level talent program.
